Lettings Accounts Assistant Cambridge

We are seeking a Lettings Accounts Assistantwho would working with a friendly and dynamic team based in Cambridge.

The role will principally be assisting with general accountancy tasks for Residential Letting's properties, providing a high level of customer service to clients.

You would work closely with the Residential Lettings Teams, the Property Managers, the Accounts team and clients.

The Lettings Accounts Assistant Package:

  • Basic Salary up to £28,000pa depending on experience

  • 23 days annual leave, plus bank holidays with entitlement increasing with length of service

  • Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

What will you be doing?

You will be working alongside the Residential Lettings Team and the Accounts Department, assisting with all areas of accounts.

Main purpose/scope of the role:

Input of rental payments on a daily basis, reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, returning tenant’s deposits, rent adjustments, new tenancy input, supplier statements and adhoc email enquiries

  • Payment runs for landlords and suppliers, via Bacs or Cheques

  • Client deposit reconciliations

  • Monthly reporting

  • Management fee transfer and reconciliations

  • Overseas landlords – entering approval numbers from HMRC, quarterly and yearly returns, NRL6 certificates

  • Annual schedule 23 notice to HMRC

  • Corresponding with other offices with regards to rent demands and rent arrears.

  • General administrative duties

  • Previous experience in an accountancy role is required

  • Self-motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team

  • Enjoy a varied, busy and rewarding role, with the ability to organise your workload to meet multiple deadlines

  • Good IT skills and enthusiasm for embracing ever changing and advancing technology

  • Welcoming and passionate about providing a high level of customer care to our clients
