Stamp Duty reforms announced!

Rishi Sunak the Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced a series of proposals to boost jobs and the property sector today.

• 1) For all furloughed employees that are unfurloughed and remain employed until January 2021 the employer will receive a £1000 bonus per employee with no cap.

• 2) Stamp Duty reform has been announced - for anyone purchasing a property as their main residence will not have to pay any Stamp Duty upto £500,000 until March 2021.

There have also been a host of other announcements around Apprenticeship schemes and getting young people into paid employment.
